Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) is a course related to technical background. There is another course named 'B.E' which is similar to B.Tech. It is four year undergraduate degree. In some institutes, the validity of course is 7 years and along with apprenticeship.

The one having an interest in computer and accessories can become a software engineer while fields like mechanical engineer, civil engineer, electronic and tele-communications provide a platform for students who want to become an Engineer.

- The candidates should have to clear entrance examinations like AIEEE, JEE, EAMCET.
- The eligibility criteria may vary as per universities, organizations.
- Students must have secured 50% marks in 10+2 with SC/OBC/ST students with 45% of marks in their board certification exams.
- Candidates must be minimum 17 years at the time of joining. The maximum age should not exceed 23 years on the date of the exam.
